THE MYSTERY OF MANTRAS-GET WHATVER YOU NEED THROUGH MANTRA'S POWER
(That which uplifts by constant repetition is a Mantra.)

MANTRAS:-  are mystic sounds which produce certain type of energies. ‘Mananath Trayathe Ithi Mantraha’- Mantra protects the person who recites it. This means Mantras are primarily invented by great seers for the welfare of the society. That which uplifts by constant repetition is a Mantra.)

Origin of Mantras :
Mantras are Vedic in origin. The teachings of the Vedas consist of various Mantric chants or hymns cognized by different seers or Rishis from the Cosmic Mind. Since the Vedas are impersonal and eternal, the exact historical date of the origin of Mantra chanting is hard to arrive at. For example, every Mantra in the Vedas, Upanishads and various religious traditions (sampradayas) within Hindu religion begin with Om or Aum - the primordial sound, the sound that is said to have its origins at the time of the creation of the cosmos - also referred to as the 'Big Bang'

Getting Started  dynamic feminine energy of love in all its manifestations.
Start by picking some aspect of your life you wish to improve or some vexing problem you would like to solve or dissolve. Then pick a mantra which seems, to you, to apply. Offer a prayer to God, in whatever way you relate to God. Ask for God's blessing in accomplishing your objective in doing this spiritual discipline.
Once you have decided to undertake the discipline and offered your prayers, then pick a place where you will say your mantra for a certain number of times each day. If possible, obtain a rosary of some kind and do your mantras in some multiple of 108. If getting a rosary is not possible, then decide on a certain amount of time you will spend each day saying your mantra. It can be five minutes, ten minutes, twenty minutes or even an hour. For your first experience, any time up to twenty minutes is advisable

The cosmic energy we always receive contains different energies coming from different celestial bodies. Because we are part of our solar system, the energies coming from the Planets in this solar system always fall on us, and absorbed by our body. These energies are much needed by every one of us. They drive our daily activities and decisions. Our life force is indeed combined with these energies. When there is a deficit of any of these energies, the related problems will arise. For example, when there is a deficit of energy coming from Sun, health problems like headache, bad eye sight, weakness of heart etc will occur. Also there will be problems with one’s boss or government officials. There will be obstacles in acquiring paternal property. We can overcome all these problems by increasing the Sun’s energy in the individual by adopting various techniques. Recitation of Sun’s Mantra is the most effective technique.
What happens when a Mantra is recited? When we repeatedly utter a Mantra we are tuning to a particular frequency and this frequency establishes a contact with the cosmic energy and drags it into our body and surroundings. Thus we can balance the energies and also increase the level of a certain type of energy, which promote certain actions and events. For example, if we increase the Mercury’s energy level, it promotes us to take intelligent steps in business.

There are Mantras for every thing. The ‘Gayatri Mantra’ recited by Hindus comprise 24 sounds, each sound is loaded with the energy of a different type by ancient sages. Thus there are 24 sages who contributed the sounds for Gayatri Mantra. It is said that ‘there is no great Mantra than Gayatri and there is no great god than the Mother’.
There are many schools of thought on the methods of chanting. A Mantra chanted correctly or incorrectly, knowingly or unknowingly, carefully or carelessly, is sure to bear the desired result for physical and mental well being. It is also believed by many that the glory of Mantra chanting cannot be established through reasoning and intellect. It can be experienced or realized only through devotion, faith and constant repetition of the Mantra.

The main aim of Mantras is to provide whatever the human beings long for. For example, the sound ‘Sreem’ represents Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Hence the Mantra: ‘Om Sreem Om’ will bring monetary success to a person who recites it daily for at least 2 hours
If you want to attract others and get the things done by them, then ‘Kleem’ is the right sound for you. This sound spells charm. So the Mantra: ‘Om Kleem Om’ will increase your magnetism.
If you want to become more dynamic and energetic and you want to get rid of general diseases, you can chant: ‘Om Hreem Om’. Here ‘Hreem’ is a energy reservoir.
If you are worried about the intelligence and education of your children, let them recite: ‘Om Iym Om’. Here ‘Iym’ represents Saraswathi, the goddess of Education.

A lot many people face illhealth and suffer a lot, because of the deeds committed in their previous births. For them, to get rid of health problems, and live a full life sanctioned by God, they should recite ‘Om Joom Saha’. This is called Mrityunjaya (Winning on Death) mantra and should be recited for atleast 2 hours daily

The Gayatri Mantra is the universal prayer enshrined in the Vedas, the most ancient Scriptures of Man. A Universal prayer is that which is to be chanted with devotion for one's spiritual benefit in all the ages in any part of the world.

We have to recite the Mantra as follows.

The Gayatri Mantra can be translated as

The Gayatri Mantra may be translated as follows :

May THAT (TAT) Supreme Divine Being enlighten (PRACHODAYAT) our (NAH) Intellect (DHIYO) (So that we may realise the Supreme Truth).

Sage Vishwamitra discovered the Gayatri Mantra. This mantra enabled the sage to use rare weapons, which bowed to his will, when this mantra was invoked with faith. Through the power he attained, this way he was able to create a counterpart of the cosmos. The Gayatri Mantra is addressed to the energy of the Sun - Surya. It is addressed to the Immanent and Transcendent Divinity. This mantra has infinite potentiality; it is a vibrant formula. It has immense powers, which are truly amazing, for the Sun is it's presiding Deity.
The Gayatri Mantra is enshrined in the Vedas, the most ancient Scriptures of Man. Gayatri is the Mother of the Vedas and Gayatri redeems the chanter of the Mantra. Ma Gayatri is present wherever the Mantra is chanted. Gayatri has three names - Gayatri, Saavitri and Saraswathi. These three are present in each one of us. Gayatri is the master of the senses, Saavitri is the master of Prana (Life Force). Saavitri signifies Truth. Saraswathi is the Presiding Deity of Speech (Vaak). Theses three represent purity of Thought, Word and Deed. One who practises the purity and harmony of Thought, Word and Deed will have Gayatri, Saavitri and Saraswathi in him

The most recommended time for chanting the Gayatri are :

· When we get up from bed in the morning

· Before every meal

· When we go to bed in the evening

After the Gayatri one should chant 'OM' and 'Shanti' Three times. The Gayatri Mantra protects the chanter wherever he may be.

The importance of the mantra are given as follows:

If Gayatri Mantra is not recited correctly it has opposite effect of enveloping the chanter in darkness. If it is chanted with Love, God will accept it.

· Each word should be pronounced clearly and distinctly, without undue haste or hurry.

· Gayatri is the very basis of Vedas. It is also called Veda Mata (Mother of the Vedas)

· Gayatri is the mantra, which preserves, protects and rescues the chanter from mortality.

· The Gayatri mantra is a Universal prayer, which asks for a clear Intellect so that the Truth may be reflected therein without distortion.

· Men, Women of all climes and creed, can chant Gayatri Mantra.

· The heart needs to be cleansed atleast three times a day with Gayatri.

· The Gayatri Mantra is synonymous to the Divinity and therefore must be approached with humility, reverence, faith and love towards the Mantra.

· Chanting with humility, reverence, faith and love is more important than mechanical repetition while the mind wanders.

· Full faith in the power and potency of the Gayatri Mantra will be generated only when the seeker has developed requisite degree of enthusiasm, reverence and love towards the Mantra.

· The more one chants the Mantra, the greater benefit the chanter gets.

Om: The Beginning & the End
The Bible (John 1:1) says: "In the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God." Modern Vedic philosophers have interpreted this teaching of the Bible, and equated Om with God. Om is the most important of all mantras. All mantras generally begin and often also end with Om.

Healing by Mantropathy
The chanting of Om in Transcendental Meditation has now received widespread recognition. Mantras can be used to treat tension and many other difficult diseases that are yet to come. The Brahmvarchas Shodh Sansthan, research center for integration of science and spirituality in Shantikunj, Haridwar, India, is the only place I know of which carries out extensive experiments on 'mantra shakti'. The result of these experiments is used to testify that Mantropathy can be used scientifically for healing and environment cleansing.
Every one cannot start chanting what ever Mantras they want. The person who wants to recite a Mantra should follow certain code of conduct. For example, one should recite a Mantra when at peace. He/she should get up early in the morning, take bath, start reciting the mantras at the time of Sun rise. One should maintain piousness and avoid Non-vegetarian food, alcohol, and other stuff, which make the functioning of the brain improper. Most important is: one should find a Guru (divine guide), who tells what type of Mantra is suitable to alleviate one’s problems, and also teaches how to recite the Mantras. Without proper guidance from Guru, one should not venture to start chanting the Mantras.

Keep the Faith!
It is important to have complete faith in the recitation of Mantras. It is primarily through faith - aided by strong will - that one achieves one's goals. A sound body and calm mind are essential for the chanter of Mantras. Once you are free from all worries and have achieved stability in mind and body, you will derive maximum benefit through the recitation of Mantras. You must have a definite object in view and a strong will power to obtain the desired objective, and then direct that will to achieve the goal !

I want to work with more than one mantra at a time, because I want to work on several things at once.  Is this a good thing to do?

For your first experiment with mantras, we recommend you work with only one mantra for a full forty-day discipline.   After that, work with any combination that makes sense to you. Remember, mantras work with energy - both yours and what you bring in from the universe - so if you work on more than one thing, try to keep them at least in the same general area. Some Mantras do not, as a rule, change their endings. Here are mantras that do not change endings except for certain special circumstances:

Om Gum Ganapatayei Namaha
Om Dum Durgayei Namaha
Om Eim Hrim Klim Chamundayei Viche Namaha
Om Sri Dhanvantre Namaha

Q: I sometimes say mantras silently when I am around other people. Is this OK?

A: Ultimately, saying mantras silently is the most powerful way to say them. The silent repetition stimulates the corresponding petals of the chakras so that energy is brought into the subtle body.

Q: I have heard the one must receive a mantra from a guru for it to work. Is this true?

A: Those who have unwrapped the power of a mantra through many repetitions achieve something called "Mantra Siddhi." This means that they have attained some measure of power and proficiency with the mantra. At this point, they may give a mantra to others "with power," meaning that the recipient will achieve results faster that doing it without having received it "with power." However, Sanskrit mantras are your spiritual birthright since they are directly linked to the chakras. They will work even if you read them from a book and begin practice.
The minimum number of repetitions to achieve Mantra Siddhi is generally recognized as 125,000.

Q: I want to do a mantra on behalf of another person. Is this OK?

A: Praying for another person is a good thing to do for anybody at any time. However, Sanskrit Mantra is not exactly prayer because in is proactive and specific, whereas prayer leaves the mechanism of an answer up to Divine authority. Therefore, I recommend that where possible you ask permission from a person to undertake mantra work on their behalf. If this is not possible, then start with a prayer that this energy be used for their highest good and begin. we also recommend that you begin with the declaration that while you are performing this mantra on someone's behalf (state their name) that you are by no means taking their karma.
Parents have an automatic right as well as responsibility to perform mantra work on behalf of their children.
